Summer is one of the most exciting seasons in Boston, offering a plethora of activities for all of us here at Devonshire. With warm weather and longer days, there’s no shortage of things to do in our vibrant city. 

From historical landmarks to outdoor festivals, there is something for everyone! 

Catch a Baseball Game at Fenway Park

Baseball season is in full swing in our city! For over 100 years, us locals have been supporting the Boston Red Sox. Take a tour of the stadium at Fenway or watch a game at any time this summer. The regular season runs through September, with most games taking place when the weather is beautiful outside. 

Revere Beach Kite Festival 

Celebrate the summer by heading on over to Revere Beach, America’s oldest public beach. Scheduled for May 20, the annual family-friendly kite festival includes kite decorating, live music, and kite flying. So go ahead and bring your kite and watch it soar. 

Attend the Boston Harborfest

This week-long celebration is a wonderful way to honor our city’s maritime history. It takes place every year over the Fourth of July weekend and features over 200 events and activities. Some of the highlights include a historical reenactment of the Boston Tea Party, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and a fireworks display over Boston Harbor. The festival is free to attend. 

Boston Calling Music Festival 

The popular 3-day indie and pop rock music festival takes place over Memorial Day Weekend at the Harvard Athletic Complex. The layout features three music stages, a comedy stage, and more tunes than ever from over 50 groups. Over 30 food vendors will offer a wide selection of spirits, sponsor exhibits, and surprise attractions. Headliners this year include Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, and Foo Fighters.
